Talk to Us About a Service Dog

Tell us who the dog is for.

You do not need to know which program you need, or have paperwork ready. A first message that says what you are dealing with is enough.

Ask About a Service Dog Placement

The more you can tell us about the person and the situation, the more useful the first call will be. Nothing here commits you to anything.

The diagnosis, the situations that worry you most, and the tasks you are hoping for. Write as much or as little as you want.

Timing, budget concerns, whether you have worked with another program before, other dogs in the house.

Or text 651-764-0261

What you send goes to Mike and his team, and nobody else. We do not sell or share your information, and we will not add you to a mailing list. If we are not the right program for your situation, we will tell you and point you somewhere better.

What Happens After You Get in Touch

Placements are matched one at a time and we are a small operation, so it can take a few days. You will hear back either way.

  1. We Read It and Call You

Mike will call to learn about the person who needs the dog, the diagnosis and the tasks you are hoping for.

  2. We Talk Through Fit

Timeline, travel, cost and whether we are the right program. If we are not, we will say so on that call rather than string you along.

  3. If It Makes Sense, We Send Paperwork

A sample contract and the relevant lesson plans, so you can see exactly what you would be signing before anything is decided.

The full process is set out on how placement works.

Who We Are Not the Right Program For

We Do Not Place Emotional Support or Therapy Animals

Every dog we place is task-trained for one person under the Americans with Disabilities Act. If what you need is an ESA letter or a therapy animal for facility visits, we are not the right call and we would rather save you the time.

There Is Nothing to Qualify For

No diagnosis list, no seizure-frequency threshold, no age minimum. If you have been turned down by a program for one of those reasons, that has no bearing on whether we can help. Write anyway.

Common Questions Before You Get in Touch

How quickly will you get back to me?

Usually within a few days. We are a small operation and placements are matched one at a time, so it is not instant. You will hear back either way, including if we are not the right program for you.

What should I include in my first message?

Who the dog is for, the diagnosis or situation, and the tasks you are hoping for. Anything about your household helps too: other dogs, who is home during the day, and whether cost is a concern.

Can I call or text instead of using the form?

Yes. Text is usually the quickest way to reach Mike, and the number is on this page. The form exists because it prompts for the things we would ask anyway.

Will you tell me if a dog is not the right answer?

Yes, on the first call rather than after a deposit. It happens regularly, and pointing someone somewhere better is a cheaper outcome for both of us than a placement that was never going to work.
